CISV is celebrating in 2026! It was in 1951 that Doris Allen’s idea took shape at the first ever „Children’s International Summer Village“ in Cincinnatti, Ohio, USA. Which means: 

CISV celebrates 75 years!

And that’s not all.

• CISV Austria celebrates 75 years, too, as we were part of that very first Village with a delegation of 6 children
• and CISV Linz celebrates 55 years – they were founded in 1971

Therefore, CISV Austria will organize and host a big anniversary party 100% CISV style, commemorating Doris‘ legacy, our achievements, our historical moments, … and even more we will celebrate our motivation for making the world a better place and will simply have a huge amount of fun and joy together.
